Beyond Words
With some behind the scenes activities and encouragement, Catherine Gross and My annie, along with some other dear friends, convinced Me to make some schedule changes and attend the 2008 Southeast Leatherfest (SELF) in Atlanta this weekend. Their reason for wanting Me to attend (aside from the fact that this is the greatest Leather event in the southeast USA) was that I had been nominated for and was awarded, the Jack Stice Community Service Award.

I had no idea that I was even nominated and it was a total surprise to be selected as a winner of such an award. To recieve such recognition for the work you do in the community is a very humbling experience. This award is very meaningful because of the nature of what it represents. When one looks at the history of the award and the people that have recieved it in the past, it is even more of an honor to be in the same company of the previous winners. To My local community and to the greater leather community of the southeast, I am deeply touched and humbled and I shall strive to be worthy and continue to serve this community that has given Me so much.
